How to use Wondershare Filmora

1. Download the installer from the official site and finish the brief setup.
2. Launch the app, choose a project resolution, then drag footage, music or pictures onto the timeline.
3. Trim, split or ripple-delete sections with the blade icon or by pulling clip edges.
4. Drop one of the 100-plus transitions between two clips to create seamless movement.
5. Add titles, filters, speed ramps or motion tracking from the left-hand panel, tweaking each setting in the preview window.
6. Hit Export, pick format and quality, then save locally or send the finished piece straight to YouTube, TikTok or Vimeo.

Advantages

• The workspace is friendly and can be rearranged, so I quickly set panels exactly where I like them.
• Over one hundred built-in transitions, speed controls and motion effects kept my Instagram reels fresh and helped me publish more than forty YouTube uploads.
• Beginners get advanced features such as motion tracking and key-framing without cryptic menus, making the first edit feel fun rather than intimidating.
• Licence pricing remains low; both the perpetual key and the rolling subscription cost less than many competing suites.
• Playback felt smooth on Windows 10 and 11, even when I stacked multiple filters and colour tweaks.

Drawbacks

• During the seven-day trial the program asked for an extra £17.99 after only four days, which left me wondering exactly what I had paid for.
• Trustpilot shows a 1.6-star rating from 133 reviews, with only about nine percent of people willing to recommend the product; that figure made me double-check my purchase.
• Confusing plan names could trick someone into thinking they hold a lifetime licence when, in fact, the agreement renews yearly.
• Seasoned colourists may miss deeper grading controls and wider codec support found in higher-end editors.

Filmora stays on my machine because it lets me turn around social clips very quickly, yet I keep a close eye on the checkout page and I back up projects elsewhere in case I ever need to switch.
