How to use LongShot

1. Sign up on LongShot’s website and pick the template that fits the piece you need.
2. Add a brief outline or key points; the sidebar guides you on word count and tone.
3. Press “Generate”, skim the draft, then tap the fact-check icon to verify statements.
4. Edit inline, swap sections with the re-phraser, or pull fresh references through the Chrome add-on.
5. Export to WordPress, Google Docs, or copy HTML once the piece looks polished.

What I noticed after a week with LongShot

Advantages

• Reliable citation engine: The fact-check panel flags dates, figures, and quotes, linking back to original pages so my posts stay accurate.
• Idea prompts that matter: Topic research suggestions break writer’s block by offering relevant subheadings and current data.
• Clean workspace: Every button sits within reach, which let me move from outline to finished copy without juggling five tabs.
• Team friendly: Colleagues can comment in real time, a big help during agency sprints.
• Direct WordPress push: One click sent drafts straight to my site and saved at least ten minutes each time.

Drawbacks

• Fact-check credits vanish quickly: The starter plan limits verification runs, so heavy users must upgrade sooner than expected.
• Occasional repetition: Very long pieces can echo earlier points, meaning some trimming remains necessary.
• Chrome add-on lag: Response slowed when I opened it inside an older WordPress build during testing.
• Missing integrations: Direct links to Canva or Notion would round out the workflow but are not present yet.

After several thousand words written through LongShot, I’m happy with the speed and the built-in accuracy guard, yet I still keep an eye on credit limits and tidy up repetitive lines before hitting publish.
