What I Noticed While Working With Cyera

I set up the platform in a test tenant and then expanded to our production subscriptions over the course of a fortnight. The onboarding wizard took less than ten minutes, after which the discovery engine highlighted forgotten S3 buckets, stray SQL snapshots and even a developer laptop backup sitting inside an old archive account. Labelling accuracy impressed me; false positives stayed under five percent, a figure I confirmed by cross-checking random samples. Policy creation required minimal security jargon, so colleagues from compliance felt comfortable crafting their own rules. During load tests, scans finished quickly without pushing cloud spend up by any noticeable margin.

The experience was not flawless. Role permissions need fine tuning; the initial template granted wider access than our governance team prefers. I also hit minor UI lag in the asset view when more than 200,000 objects appeared on screen. Reporting exports arrive only in CSV right now, forcing extra steps before management slide decks. Finally, integrations lean toward larger ticketing suites, leaving smaller help-desk products to webhooks.
